About Us: Monte Creek Winery is located a short drive outside of Kamloops, our vineyards straddle the Thompson River making for a breathtaking view. Monte Creek Winery is producing world class wines in the Thompson Valley, and is a must see tourist attraction.  Through quality, innovation, and sustainability, Monte Creek Winery is turning unique growing conditions into award-winning, premium wines. Romance and wine go hand in hand and Monte Creek Winery was voted Best Wedding Venue in Kamloops for 2023. We have a very busy Fall season and we are looking to add some awesome people to our team of Event Superstars. This position will run until mid-October and requires you to be able to work Saturday evenings/nights.

Role:
  • Be a superstar at multitasking. Event service is not for the faint of heart, this job is fast paced and exciting!
  • Create a memorable, world-class experience for our guests.
  • Assist with event set-up, take-down, and execution.
  • Conduct wine tastings.
  • Serve tables at the terrace restaurant and conduct all related hospitality duties.
  • Support with wine sales and general retail duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Top Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in BC.
  • BC Serving It Right Certificate.
  • Must have weekend and evening availability.
  • Experience with a POS (cash till) is an asset.
  • Previous bartending, banquet, or event experience is an asset.
  • A love of wine and all things wine related is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Positive attitude. Because life is so much better with one.
  • Team player. Because work is so much easier if you are one.
  • Hard worker. Because the everyday is so much more meaningful when we do.
