Add a golden shimmer to your holiday countdown with today’s treat: our 2022 Living Land La Crescent. Bursting with bright aromas of juicy peach, apricot, and citrus blossom, this cheerful white is balanced with a touch of honeyed sweetness and crisp, zesty acidity.

La Crescent is a rare grape, whose cold hardiness is an asset at our slightly cooler Monte Creek estate vineyard. Our winemaker noticed that the skins have pronounced floral aromas, so we have been experimenting with producing a skin contact white wine (aka Orange Wine).

The berries are gently destemmed, and then we allow fermentation to begin naturally. Three weeks on the skins allow depth and structure to unfold, before the wine is gently pressed, capturing its delicate essence. Half of the skins are then nestled into French oak barrels and topped with wine to create a harmonious interplay of fruit and gentle oak influence. Resting through the winter, the wine develops a refined texture and polished complexity. A final month in stainless steel ensures clarity and finesse, resulting in a wine of remarkable elegance—balanced, graceful, and utterly captivating.
