The 2025 competition season has been a remarkable one for our team at Monte Creek. Our wines were celebrated across Canada and internationally, reflecting the dedication and craftsmanship that define who we are here in the Thompson Valley.

This year, Monte Creek Winery proudly earned several prestigious medals at wine competitions worldwide. Our viticulture & wine making team is thrilled with these results, reflecting the dedication and hard work they put in throughout the year.

National Wine Awards of Canada

Hosted by WineAlign, the National Wine Awards of Canada highlight the best of Canadian winemaking. This year, our 2022 Living Land Cabernet Merlot earned a Gold medal, placing it among the most distinguished red wines in the country.

This vintage shows depth and grace, offering layers of dark fruit, plum, and gentle spice. The fruit was grown in Keremeos and Oliver, where warm days and cool nights create ideal ripening conditions. The result is a smooth, expressive wine that reflects both the quality of the vineyards and the craftsmanship of our team.

All Canadian Wine Championships

Now in its 44th year, the All Canadian Wine Championships continue to celebrate outstanding wines from across the nation. Monte Creek Winery is proud to receive multiple Gold medals this year, as well as a Double Gold distinction that holds a special place in our hearts.

Our 2022 Living Land Sparkling received Double Gold in the Sparkling Wine Charmat Method category. With its bright fruit, lively bubbles, and refined finish, this wine truly embodies the joy and celebration that inspire everything we do.

Our 2024 Living Land Rosé (organic) and 2024 Living Land Riesling (organic) both earned Gold medals for their freshness, balance, and expressive character. Together they tell the story of our Thompson Valley terroir and the diversity it brings to each vintage.

We were also pleased to see the 2022 Living Land Cabernet Merlot win another Gold medal at the All Canadian Wine Championships.

Decanter World Wine Awards

On the international stage, our 2022 Ancient Waters Pinot Noir earned 91 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London, one of the most respected wine competitions in the world.

This recognition is particularly meaningful, as it celebrates not only the quality of our wines but also the unique identity of British Columbia. The Ancient Waters series is inspired by the geological history of the region, and this wine, grown in the Similkameen Valley, honours that connection between land and craft.

Behind every award stands a group of dedicated people who share the same vision. From our vineyard crew nurturing each vine with care to the cellar team who bring each bottle to life, these moments of recognition belong to us all.

Each vintage offers a new opportunity to learn from our land, refine our craft, and share wines that bring people together. As we look toward another season, we do so with gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead.

From all of us at Monte Creek, thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to another year of growth, connection, and great wine.
